It is necessary for patients of all ages to visit the dentist every six months. During a routine checkup and cleaning, we remove plaque, tartar, and examine your teeth and surrounding oral structures to ensure they are as healthy as can be. When you stay on top of these regular visits to the dentist, you can avoid the need for costly, complex, and time-consuming restorative treatments later on.
Come in for a routine visit and we will begin by discussing your oral health and any changes that may have occurred since we saw you last. Do you have an aching tooth? Have you noticed something that’s just a little off? Tell us about anything that is related to your smile. Next, your dental hygienist will thoroughly clean your teeth and gums, checking in on any pockets between the gums and teeth — deep pockets indicate the presence of infection and the need for periodontal therapy. We will take digital x-rays if necessary, then put all the information together for the dentist.
During the checkup, Dr. Alex Ness, Dr. Stephanie Ness, or Dr. Greer will examine your teeth and look at any x-rays we have taken. If restorative dentistry is needed to renew your smile health, we will put together a personalized treatment plan and send you on your way with plans to see you soon!
When was your last visit to the dentist? If it’s been longer than six months, it’s time for you to schedule an appointment at Ness Family Dentistry.
